Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

By using Claro (“the Service”), you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About Claro

Claro is a free benefit-matching tool that helps individuals and families identify government assistance programs they may be eligible for. Claro does not apply for benefits on your behalf and does not guarantee that you will receive any benefit.

2. Eligibility and Accuracy

The eligibility results shown on your dashboard are estimates based on publicly available program rules and the information you provide. Actual eligibility is determined solely by the administering government agency. Claro makes no guarantee that you will be approved for any program shown.

Estimated dollar amounts shown are conservative base estimates. Actual benefit amounts may be higher or lower depending on your full circumstances and the agency’s determination.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current information in your profile. Claro reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that are used fraudulently.

4. Chrome Extension

The Claro Chrome extension is a convenience tool that pre-fills benefit application forms using your Claro profile data. You are responsible for reviewing all pre-filled information before submitting any application. Claro is not liable for any errors in pre-filled data or for the outcome of any application you submit.

5. No Legal or Financial Advice

Claro is not a law firm, financial adviser, or benefits counselor. Nothing on this site constitutes legal or financial advice. For advice specific to your situation, consult a qualified professional or contact the relevant government agency directly.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Claro and its founders, employees, and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on information provided by the Service.

7. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide notice where feasible. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
