Claro finds the benefits you qualify for.
The extension helps you apply for them — automatically.
Compatible with Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave).
Applying for government benefits usually means filling in the same personal details — name, address, income, household size — on form after form. The Claro extension reads the fields on each application website and fills them in from your Claro profile, automatically.
Smart autofill
The extension detects government benefit application forms and offers to fill them in with one click using your saved profile.
Apply in minutes
What used to take an hour of copying and pasting now takes a few minutes. You review the filled form and hit submit.
You stay in control
Nothing is submitted without your review and approval. The extension only runs when you ask it to.
Click "Add to Chrome"
Visit the Claro listing in the Chrome Web Store and click the green "Add to Chrome" button. A confirmation dialog will appear — click "Add extension" to confirm.
Pin the extension to your toolbar
After installation, click the puzzle-piece icon in the top-right of your browser, find "Claro", and click the pin icon. This keeps the Claro button visible in your toolbar for easy access.
Sign in with your Claro account
Click the Claro icon in your toolbar and sign in with the same email and password you use on the Claro website. This connects the extension to your profile.
Visit a benefit application website
Navigate to the application page for any program — for example, the CalFresh application on BenefitsCal.com, or the LIHEAP application. Open any government benefits application form.
Click the Claro icon and select "Autofill"
Once you are on the form, click the Claro icon in your toolbar. A panel will appear showing the fields Claro can fill. Click "Autofill application" and watch your information populate automatically.
Review and submit
Look over every field that was filled in to make sure it is correct. Make any changes you need, then submit the application as you normally would. Claro marks the benefit as Applied in your dashboard.
The extension pulls your name, address, income, and household details from your Claro profile to fill in applications. If you don't have an account yet, create one first — it only takes a few minutes and it is completely free.
